Automation solution with a FANUC robot on rail for MIKRON HSM 300, FORM 350, MIKRON HSM 400U ProdMed and AC VERTEX 2.
The cell produces 2 types of products, mold inserts and wood cutters.
Electrode manufacturing consists of a milling operation-, cleaning- and measuring- operations.
Mold insert manufacturing consists of presetting-, EDM-, cleaning and measuring- operations.
Wood cutter manufacturing consists of 5 –axis milling-, cleaning- wire EDM- and measuring- operations
Tontarra Medizintechnik GmbH in Wurmlingen, Germany, manufactures medical instruments.
For the manufacture, they have invested in a linear cell for three (!) HERMLE milling machines.
The cell is prepared to integrate a 4th machine later on. The cell includes two types of robot handling:
· Loading pallets with part fixtures to the machines
· Loading individual parts directly in to automatic vises on the machine table (Part-Changing)
The entire cell is controlled by CellManager.
